Plymouth is a downtown wrapped around a park, with a second, smaller district a few blocks north. Here is the short version for a first visit.
## Start at Kellogg Park
Kellogg Park on W Ann Arbor Trail is the center of town — fountain, benches, and the blocks of Main Street, Penniman and Forest fanning out from it. Everything below is within a ten-minute walk.
## Get a coffee and a pastry
Plymouth Coffee Bean at 884 Penniman Ave is the local default. For the bakery version, Helen's Bakery at 963 W Ann Arbor Trail and Boule Artisan Bakery at 880 W Ann Arbor Trail are both a couple of minutes west.
## Eat lunch downtown
Maya's Deli at 550 Forest Ave is the fast, high-rated counter stop. Beyond Borders Latin Street Food at 810 S Main St is the other easy pick, with sidewalk seating. If you want a table, Park Place Gastropub at 336 S Main St is the all-purpose choice.
## See Old Village
Walk north along Starkweather Street. Old Village is the low-key half of Plymouth: Meridian Coffee Co. at 636 Starkweather St, Crawford's Kitchen at 542 Starkweather St for brunch, and a street that looks nothing like Main.
## Have a real dinner
The Sardine Room at 340 S Main St for small plates and cocktails, The Ledger at 306 S Main St for a proper sit-down, or Compari's On the Park at 350 S Main St if you want a table facing the square.
## One more stop
Arbor Brewing Plymouth Taproom at 777 W Ann Arbor Trail is the beer finish. Sean O'Callaghan's Public House at 821 Penniman Ave is the pub one.
## Practical notes
Street parking downtown is free and turns over fast; Penniman and Forest have lots behind the storefronts. A first visit needs about five hours, and you will not need the car once you have parked.
